Truth In Medicine?

Truth in medicine - it sound simple - The team at Risk have put together a petition asking for data on the anti-psoriasis drug Humira... because it can kill.


The question of access to clinical trial data is perhaps the most important issue in healthcare today. AbbVie and InterMune have taken a legal action against the European Medicines Agency, attempting to block its policy of open access to trial data.  This is likely to have a profound effect on healthcare.  The fact that it has gone beneath the radar in the media may be an indication of how seriously Pharma views it - the usual way companies handle news about anything this important is to close it down.

Blocking access to trial data is an abuse of science and poses profound risks to everyone - increasingly children - who is prescribed a medicine.  The lack of data turns medicines into chemicals.
