Delighted to be back at the internationally renowned Scottish School of Herbal Medicine.
Scottish School founder Keith Robertson MSc FNIMH and myself will be using a combination of historical scrutiny into Graeco-Roman accounts of the Celts, Archeology, Celtic folklore and an elemental approach to an understanding of plant medicines to reconstruct a living practical system.
Although the later Celts in Ireland, Scotland and Wales devloped a humoral system of medicine based on Greek philosophy and on texts from the University of Salerno between the 10th-12th century, an earlier system based on an elemnetal understanding of the natural world may still have an important place in today's herbal community.
The course is open to complete novices and seasoned practiitoners alike, though numbers are limited.
