The Million Women Study

This morning I listened to a moving and remarkably frank BBC radio interview with Valerie Beral who has been involved with the Million Women Study. The Million Women Study is a national study of women’s health, involving more than one million UK women aged 50 and over. The interview should be available on the BBC site to listen again:

I would urge anyone with an interest in women's health to look at the results this research has brought to light especially in relation to HRT and increased risk of breast cancer and stroke:

This study is the largest of its kind and has already influenced national policy. The use of HRT has almost halved in the last few years alone and not just in the UK....
